Q4 and Full-Year FY26 Financial Results On April 29, 2026, Indian Bank reported a standalone net profit of ₹3,103 Crores for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2026, a 5% increase compared to ₹2,956 Crores in the same period last year. Net Interest Income (NII) grew by 11% year-on-year to reach ₹7,110 Crores. For the full financial year 2025-26, the bank's board has recommended a dividend of ₹18.25 per equity share. Asset Quality Improvements The bank demonstrated a significant improvement in its asset quality during the final quarter of FY26. Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) declined to 1.98%, down from 2.23% in the previous quarter and 3.09% a year ago. Net NPAs were recorded at 0.15%, reflecting a steady downward trend from 0.19% in the prior year period. Provisions and contingencies for the quarter stood at ₹1,226 Crores. Capital Raising and Debt Securities The Board of Directors has approved a plan to raise equity capital up to ₹5,000 Crores through various channels, including Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), Rights Issue, or a Follow-on Public Offer (FPO). Additionally, as of March 31, 2026, the bank reported outstanding bonds totaling ₹16,000 Crores, including a recent allotment of ₹5,000 Crores in long-term infrastructure bonds issued in late March. Leadership and Governance Changes Effective April 16, 2026, Indian Bank implemented several senior management reassignments to strengthen operational divisions. Ms. Aruna M was appointed as General Manager (KYC) and Shri Vineet Bajpai as General Manager (International Banking Division). Furthermore, directors Balmukund Sahay and Vishvesh Kumar Goel ceased to be on the board effective April 11, 2026, following the completion of their respective terms.
