Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) Latest Updates

MCX
Historic 1:5 Stock Split Execution MCX successfully executed its first-ever stock split in a 1:5 ratio on January 2, 2026. Existing equity shares with a face value of ₹10 were subdivided into five shares with a face value of ₹2 each. The stock began trading on an ex-split basis on the same day, a move aimed at enhancing liquidity and making the shares more accessible to retail investors after the price had surpassed ₹11,000 in late 2025. Upcoming Q3 FY26 Board Meeting The company has scheduled its Board of Directors meeting for Friday, January 23, 2026, to consider and approve the unaudited financial results for the quarter and nine months ended December 31, 2025. Following the board meeting, MCX will host an earnings conference call on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM IST. Senior management, including CEO Ms. Praveena Rai and CFO Mr. Chandresh Shah, will lead the discussion. Record Highs & Trading Volumes Driven by a sustained rally in precious metals, MCX shares hit a fresh post-split all-time high of ₹2,499 on January 16, 2026. The exchange has benefited significantly from extreme volatility and record prices in gold and silver, which have boosted trading volumes and transaction fee expectations. The stock has rallied approximately 71% since September 2025, making it one of the top performers in the capital markets segment. Leadership & Subsidiary Updates In a strategic leadership move, Mr. Rishi Nathany has been appointed as the MD & CEO of MCX Clearing Corporation Limited, the exchange's wholly-owned clearing subsidiary. The appointment, recently cleared by SEBI, is intended to strengthen the risk management and settlement framework as the exchange handles increasingly high daily turnovers, which reached an average of ₹3.1 trillion earlier in the fiscal year.
