Financial Performance (Q3 FY26)The company reported a challenging third quarter ending December 31, 2025. Consolidated revenue stood at ₹212.88 crore, a slight 4.2% increase sequentially but a 5.7% decline year-on-year. Profitability was significantly impacted, with a net loss of ₹12.61 crore compared to a profit of ₹20.78 crore in the same period last year. EBITDA margins compressed to 6%, down from 17% in Q3 FY25, primarily due to pricing pressures in the global antibiotics market and higher raw material costs. Acquisition of Enmetazobactam In a major strategic move completed in Q3 FY26, Orchid Pharma acquired 100% global ownership of its first-ever Indian-discovered antibiotic, Enmetazobactam (marketed as Exblifep / Orblicef). Previously out-licensed to Allecra Therapeutics, Orchid took over the rights following Allecra’s insolvency. The company now controls all intellectual property, trademarks, and commercial rights worldwide, allowing for direct global partnerships and royalty accruals. Product Pipeline & Global Launches Exblifep Expansion: Sales have commenced in Spain and Italy, with recent launches completed in the UAE and Kuwait. A deal for the U.S. market is being targeted within the current year. Differentiated Products: The company is advancing filings for Teflaro (Ceftaroline fosamil) and Avycaz (Ceftazidime-Avibactam), targeting the U.S. market opportunity valued between $300M and $350M. Key Infrastructure Projects (7-ACA) The 7-ACA project (under the PLI scheme) is a critical focus for backward integration to reduce dependence on Chinese imports. Mechanical completion for the 1,000-metric-ton plant is targeted for September 2026, with commercial production expected a quarter or two later.
