Q3 FY26 Financial Performance
For the quarter ended December 31, 2025 (reported February 6, 2026), Prataap Snacks achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹461.6 crore, representing a 3.8% year-on-year growth. The company successfully returned to profitability, posting a Net Profit of ₹5.69 crore, a significant recovery from the net loss of ₹14.7 crore reported in the same period last year.
Margin Pressures and Input Costs
Despite the record revenue, the company faced a sequential contraction in EBITDA margins, which fell to 4.4% from 5.3% in Q2 FY26. This dip was primarily driven by a rise in the cost of key raw materials, specifically palm oil, and an upfront investment of approximately ₹9 crore to scale presence in quick commerce and alternate distribution channels.
Major Capital Expansion (New Indore Plant)
The Board has approved a significant greenfield expansion project to establish a new manufacturing facility near Indore, Madhya Pradesh. The project involves an investment of up to ₹425 crore and will have a production capacity of 60,000 MTPA. The plant, expected to be commissioned by March 2027, will feature high levels of automation aimed at consolidating multiple smaller units into a single efficient hub to reduce overheads.
Operational Consolidation and Setbacks
As part of its strategic consolidation, the company closed its Bengaluru manufacturing facility effective January 1, 2026, transitioning those operations to other regional facilities. Additionally, the company is managing the aftermath of a fire incident at its Jammu plant that occurred in late December 2024, resulting in a loss of approximately ₹34.34 crore for which insurance claims are currently being processed.#HiddenGems#TechnicalViews#FundamentalViews#EquityResearch#PersonalFinance
