RAILTEL
Significant New Project Wins and Expanding Order Book: RailTel has recently secured a Letter of Intent (LOI) worth ₹43.99 crore from Zoram Electronics Development Corporation (ZENICS) for the Mizo Fibre Grid Network (MFGN) project in Mizoram, further solidifying its presence in the Northeast. This adds to a robust order book that reached ₹6,616 crore as of May 5, 2025, with over 70% from non-railway projects. The company aims to secure an additional ₹4,000 crore in new orders during FY25, indicating strong growth ambitions. Recent notable wins also include orders from South Eastern Coalfields Ltd and the Bihar Education Project Council. Financial Performance and Dividend Announcement: For Q1 FY25, RailTel reported a net income of ₹48.67 crore. The Board of Directors, at their meeting on June 15, 2025, recommended a final dividend of ₹0.85 per equity share (8.5%) for the financial year 2024-25. This, combined with an interim dividend of ₹2 per share already paid, brings the total dividend for FY25 to ₹2.85 per share, pending shareholder approval. Strategic Collaborations and Future Growth: RailTel is actively forming strategic alliances to broaden its service portfolio. In April 2025, it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NBCC (India) Ltd to jointly develop data center projects in India and internationally. This collaboration leverages RailTel's IT infrastructure expertise and NBCC's project management in civil construction. Earlier in February 2025, RailTel also entered into a five-year strategic partnership with Microsoft to accelerate AI-driven digital transformation in Indian Railways and the public sector, including establishing an AI Center of Excellence. These partnerships underscore RailTel's focus on diversifying and enhancing its digital infrastructure services.
