RBA
Restaurant Brands International (RBI) has seen significant leadership changes and operational shifts throughout late 2025. Here are the latest updates organized by category:
Executive Leadership & Culinary Moves
In December 2025, RBI announced a major shuffle of its culinary leadership. Amy Alarcon, the long-time head chef at Popeyes who was credited with the success of their iconic chicken sandwich, was appointed as the new Head Chef for Burger King (U.S. & Canada). Simultaneously, Robert “Bobby” O’Brien was promoted to take over as Head Chef for Popeyes. This follows earlier executive appointments in November, where Peter Perdue was named President of Popeyes and Nicolas Henrich became COO of Burger King.
Financial Performance (Q3 2025)
The company’s most recent earnings report showed a 6.9% increase in consolidated system-wide sales year-over-year. Growth was particularly strong in the International segment (+12.1%) and at Tim Hortons Canada (+4.2%). Burger King U.S. also saw a rebound with a 3.2% increase in comparable sales. Overall, RBI reported a net income of $440 million for the third quarter, compared to $357 million in the same period last year.
Global Expansion Plans
Expansion in Mexico and South America has become a primary focus. Popeyes announced a strategic partnership to open over 300 new restaurants in Mexico over the next decade. Similarly, Firehouse Subs is aggressively expanding into Brazil, with plans to open more than 500 locations starting in late 2025, and another 100 locations slated for Mexico.#FundamentalViews#TechnicalViews#WatchOutFor#EquityResearch#PersonalFinance
