Syngene International Limited Latest Updates
$SYNGENE Q1 FY27 Financial Results & Net Loss On July 29, 2026, Syngene International reported its financial results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). Revenue from operations declined 15.8% year-on-year to ₹736 crore (down from ₹874.5 crore in Q1 FY26). Lower operating leverage, biologics demand adjustments, and an exceptional charge of ₹13.5 crore for employee termination benefits led to a consolidated net loss of ₹9.00 crore, compared to a net profit of ₹86.70 crore in the year-ago period. Executive Leadership Transition Effective July 1, 2026, Mr. Siddharth Mittal officially took charge as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) of Syngene International, succeeding Peter Bains following a planned leadership transition. Alongside the CEO transition, the company appointed new commercial leadership to accelerate client outreach across the US and European contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) markets. Balance Sheet Liquidity & Cash ReservesDespite operating headwinds in Q1 FY27, Syngene maintained a conservative capital structure with a net cash reserve of ₹1,541 crore. The strong balance sheet provides financial headroom as the company manages operating expenses and continues commercial integration for its US Bayview facility and biologics development infrastructure. Technology & Research Collaborations Syngene expanded its proprietary ***** drug discovery platform, deploying gigascale virtual screening capabilities to enhance early-stage hit-finding for global pharmaceutical clients. In clinical development, the company signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) to collaborate on early and late-phase clinical trials and translational research.
