TATAPOWER
has reported a strong start to the new financial year, with its Profit After Tax (PAT) growing by 6% year-on-year to ₹1,262 crore. This marks the 23rd consecutive quarter of PAT growth. The company’s revenue from operations also saw a 4% increase, reaching ₹17,464 crore, driven by robust performance across all business verticals. Notably, the renewables business saw a massive 95% jump in PAT to ₹531 crore. Renewable Energy and Green Initiatives The company's focus on clean energy is evident in its latest highlights. Tata Power commissioned 94 MW of new renewable energy (RE) capacity in Q1, bringing its total operational capacity to 5.6 GW. The rooftop solar segment was a major success, with revenue more than doubling and PAT skyrocketing by 260% year-on-year. The company commissioned a record 270 MWp of solar projects in the quarter and has applied for an expansion of its electricity distribution license in key growth areas of Maharashtra. Manufacturing and Strategic Partnerships Tata Power's manufacturing arm, TP Solar, also contributed significantly to the company's performance, reporting a PAT of ₹100 crore in Q1. In line with its growth strategy, the company has forged new partnerships, including a 200 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) PPA with NTPC and a Group Captive Power Delivery Agreement with Fiat India Automobiles. Additionally, Tata Power has commenced cross-border power sales from its project in Bhutan, further expanding its reach.
