Completion of Imperial Blue Acquisition: On December 1, 2025, Tilaknagar Industries officially completed the acquisition of the Imperial Blue business division from Pernod Ricard India. This strategic move, valued at approximately ₹3,442 crore, includes the trademarks for Imperial Blue, Imperial Black, and Imperial Red globally. The company expects this acquisition to significantly expand its footprint in the Indian whisky market. Financial Performance (Q2 FY2026): For the quarter ended September 30, 2025, the company reported a net profit of ₹52.6 crore, a 9.6% decline year-on-year. However, net revenue grew by 6.2% to ₹398.3 crore, and sales volumes saw a robust increase of 16.2%, reaching 34.2 lakh cases—the company's highest Q2 volume since FY2015. Foray into Premium Whisky: In late November 2025, Tilaknagar Industries entered the premium whisky segment with the launch of "Seven Islands Pure Malt Whisky." This follows the company's strategy to diversify its portfolio beyond its dominant brandy category and tap into the "premiumization" trend in the Indian spirits market. Capital Infusion and Debt Management: To fund the Imperial Blue acquisition and other growth initiatives, the company successfully raised approximately ₹986 crore through a preferential issue of equity shares and warrants. As of September 2025, the company maintained a strong financial position with a gross debt of only ₹47 crore and a significant net cash position due to these recent proceeds. Capacity Expansion at Prag Distillery: The Board has approved an investment of ₹59 crore to expand the bottling capacity of its subsidiary, Prag Distillery in Andhra Pradesh. The project aims to increase capacity six-fold—from 6 lakh cases to 36 lakh cases per annum—to meet rising demand for its flagship brands like Mansion House and Courrier Napoleon.
