Record Q3 FY26 Profitability V-Mart reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of ₹87.99 crore for the quarter ending December 2025, a significant 23% year-on-year increase. Revenue for the same period rose by 10% to ₹1,126 crore, driven primarily by festive demand. The company also saw its operating margins expand to 18.6%, the highest in eight quarters, attributed to better inventory management and supply chain efficiencies. Mixed Sales Performance and Revised Guidance While overall revenue grew, Same-Store Sales Growth (SSSG) for the core V-Mart format was flat at 0% in Q3, though the 'Unlimited' format performed better with a 2% SSSG. Due to weaker-than-expected festive momentum and a delayed winter season, management has revised its full-year FY26 revenue growth guidance downward to 15–18%, from the earlier projection of 17–20%. Aggressive Store Expansion Despite the revised revenue targets, V-Mart continues its physical expansion strategy. The company added 23 new stores in the December quarter alone, taking its total store count to 554. For the full fiscal year 2026, the company aims to add at least 75 stores, with a particular focus on deeper penetration in South India and Tier II/III cities. Stock Market Volatility The stock has faced significant pressure, hitting a fresh 52-week low of ₹522.05 on March 2, 2026. This downward trend reflects investor caution regarding high debt-to-EBITDA levels and a low Return on Equity (ROE). The stock has underperformed the broader market, declining roughly 27% over the past year. Corporate and Digital Updates V-Mart’s digital marketplace (LimeRoad) has managed to halve its operational losses, contributing approximately ₹10.67 crore in the latest quarter. On the corporate side, the company recently appointed Sanjay Sarkar as Senior Management Personnel and granted over 66,000 stock options under its ESOP scheme to reinforce its leadership and operational structure.
