DENTA WATER – SWOT ANALYSIS

DENTA
Strengths Strong Order Book Visibility The company reported an order book of about ₹5,900+ million, providing multi-year revenue visibility. Low Debt Balance Sheet Denta Water operates with very low debt, giving financial flexibility and reducing interest burden. Weaknesses Revenue Concentration Risk Around 84% of revenue comes from Karnataka, exposing the company to regional dependency risk. Declining Return Ratios ROE and ROCE have declined in recent periods due to higher equity and lower earnings growth. Opportunities Government Infrastructure Spending Programs like Jal Jeevan Mission and urban water infrastructure projects can drive strong demand. Expansion into New Geographies Expansion beyond Karnataka could significantly diversify revenue. Threats EPC Industry Competition Competition from large players in water EPC and infrastructure may pressure margins. Project Execution Risk Delays, cost overruns, or regulatory hurdles can impact profitability. Raw Material Cost Volatility Rising input costs can reduce margins in fixed-price EPC contracts. Client Concentration Risk A large share of revenue comes from a small number of clients. Cash Flow Mismatch Risk Profit may not convert into cash due to delayed billing or payments. Conclusion Denta Water operates in a structurally strong sector (water infrastructure) with high margins and a strong order book. However, investors should carefully monitor cash flow quality, geographic concentration, and government contract dependency.
