AVT Natural Products Ltd – Company Fundamental Analysis

AVT Natural Products is a vertically integrated manufacturer of natural plant-based ingredients serving food & beverages, animal nutrition, nutraceuticals, cosmetics and crop-science markets. Its portfolio includes marigold extracts, spice oleoresins and oils, tea extracts, natural colours, functional ingredients and botanical animal-health solutions. The company’s integration from cultivation and sourcing through extraction and formulation provides control over quality and supply, while its international customer base gives it access to global demand for clean-label and natural ingredients. FY26 marked a strong recovery in earnings, and Q1 FY27 accelerated sharply. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 82.2% YoY to ₹241.2 crore in Q1 FY27, while EBITDA rose 151% to ₹39.9 crore and PAT increased 156.7% to ₹31.1 crore. Operating margin improved to 16.6% from 12.0% a year earlier, indicating substantial operating leverage. Groww currently reports TTM P/E of about 16.5x, ROE of 11.6% and debt-to-equity of 0.20x. The major opportunity is the global shift toward natural, clean-label and plant-based ingredients, along with growth in animal nutrition and value-added products. However, AVT's historical performance has been sensitive to agricultural conditions: poor marigold crops previously caused shortages and affected the business, while global competition, especially from Chinese suppliers, can pressure realisations. Its very strong Q1 growth also creates a high base for subsequent quarters, so sustainability of margins and volumes is important. Overall, AVT Natural Products has a specialised export-oriented business with improving profitability and a relatively comfortable balance sheet, but investors should track crop availability, commodity/input costs, overseas demand and whether the recent earnings acceleration can be sustained.
