Exicom Telesystems Ltd — Fundamental Overview

EXICOM
Exicom Telesystems Ltd is a power-electronics and energy-solutions company primarily focused on electric-vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and critical power systems. Its business is broadly divided into two segments: EV charging solutions and critical power solutions used in telecom, data centers, railways, and other infrastructure projects. The company designs, manufactures, and supplies both AC and DC fast chargers, making it a key backend player in India’s EV ecosystem rather than a consumer-facing brand. The EV charging segment is the main long-term growth driver. Exicom supplies chargers to fleet operators, public charging networks, oil marketing companies, and EV OEMs. As EV adoption grows and charging infrastructure expands across highways, cities, and commercial hubs, demand for reliable and scalable charging hardware is expected to rise. Exicom benefits from early entry into this space, in-house power-electronics capabilities, and relationships with institutional and government-linked clients. The critical power solutions business provides some diversification. This segment supplies power systems for telecom towers, data centers, and industrial infrastructure, where uninterrupted power is essential. While this business is more mature and slower-growing, it generates steadier demand and helps cushion volatility from the EV segment, which is still evolving and policy-sensitive. Financially, Exicom operates in a capital-intensive and competitive environment. Margins depend heavily on scale, execution efficiency, and input costs such as semiconductors and electronic components. Working capital requirements can be high due to project-based orders and institutional clients with longer payment cycles. Profitability may fluctuate as the company continues to invest in capacity expansion, R&D, and new product development to stay competitive.
