HARIOMPIPE
Hariom Pipe Industries Ltd is an Indian manufacturer of steel pipes, tubes and structural products used in infrastructure, construction, agriculture, housing and industrial applications. Its product portfolio includes ERW black pipes, galvanised pipes, hollow sections, billets and value-added steel products.
Q2 FY27 results, announced on 4 November 2026, were very strong. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 65.1% year-on-year to ₹554.60 crore, compared with ₹335.87 crore in Q2 FY26. EBITDA grew 59.2% to ₹67.99 crore, while net profit increased approximately 142.7% to ₹25.28 crore. Basic EPS rose from ₹3.36 to ₹8.16. Sequentially, revenue increased 29.2% and net profit grew 52.3% compared with Q1 FY27. However, EBITDA margin was 12.3%, slightly below 12.7% in the year-ago quarter, indicating that profit growth also benefited from lower relative expenses and other factors rather than a major margin expansion.
An important operational development is that the company's Perundurai manufacturing unit in Tamil Nadu, which had been temporarily suspended following pollution-control directions in April 2026, resumed operations on 13 July 2026 after the closure directions were suspended. This had affected Q1 performance, so the Q2 recovery partly reflects normalisation of operations.
The latest Q2 results are encouraging, but the stock's valuation should be assessed against its current market price, debt, working-capital requirements and the sustainability of its earnings. Key growth drivers include infrastructure spending, expansion in water and housing projects, higher steel-pipe demand and increased manufacturing capacity.
Overall Hariom Pipe has delivered strong Q2 revenue and profit growth, with the restart of its Tamil Nadu facility supporting operational recovery. However, the margin has not expanded year-on-year, and the Q2 performance should not be extrapolated without checking H1 cash flows, debt and capacity utilisation.#HiddenGems#FundamentalViews#StockInNews#EquityResearch#WatchOutFor
