Hindalco Industries Ltd — Financial Summary & Growth Trajectory

Revenue & Profit Growth Hindalco posted record full-year revenue of about ₹2,38,496 crore in FY25, up roughly 10% over FY24. For the fourth quarter (Q4 FY25), revenue was ₹64,890 crore, a ~16% year-on-year increase. The company achieved all-time high profit after tax (PAT) of ₹16,002 crore for FY25, up ~58% from the prior year. In Q4 alone, PAT was ~₹5,284 crore, up ~66% year-on-year. Margins & Segment Performance EBITDA for the year was ₹35,496 crore, up ~38%. Segment-wise, the Aluminium Upstream business delivered EBITDA of ~₹16,262 crore (up ~78%), Downstream Aluminium ~₹633 crore (up ~16%), and Copper business ~₹3,025 crore (up ~16%). In Q4, Aluminium Upstream EBITDA surged ~79% and its margins reached about 47%. Downstream aluminium and copper businesses also posted healthy improvements. Financial Strength & Leverage Hindalco improved its financial leverage: its consolidated net debt to EBITDA ratio came down to about 1.06× at end-FY25, versus ~1.21× a year earlier. The company has also proposed a dividend of ₹5 per share (500%), up from ₹3.5 (350%) in FY24, reflecting confidence in cash flows. Recent Performance & Emerging Trends In Q1 FY26, revenue rose ~13% year-on-year to ₹64,232 crore, and PAT was ₹4,004 crore (up ~30%). Aluminium Upstream continued strong, EBITDA margin ~44%. Downstream aluminium posted a very high growth in EBITDA (~108%). Copper segment was in line with guidance. Hindalco is maintaining momentum through operational discipline, favorable input costs, and increasing demand. Expansion Plans & Risks Hindalco plans large investments over the next few years in alumina refining, aluminium and copper capacity expansions, and growing its downstream portfolio.
