NRBBEARING
NRB Bearings is a specialised auto-component manufacturer with a strong position in needle-roller bearings and other friction-reduction solutions used in passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, two-wheelers, tractors and industrial applications. The company supplies major OEMs in India and has been increasing its international presence through its global operations and technology partnerships. Its engineering capabilities and long-standing OEM relationships provide a meaningful entry barrier, although demand remains linked to automotive and industrial cycles.
FY26 was a strong improvement year. Consolidated revenue from operations increased 11.4% to ₹1,335 crore, while profit before exceptional items and tax rose 21.8% to ₹201 crore. Consolidated PAT increased sharply to ₹145.6 crore from ₹82.3 crore in FY25, although FY25 had a much larger exceptional expense, so the year-on-year PAT increase overstates the underlying operating improvement to some extent. EBITDA also reached ₹267 crore, up 19.2%, supported by volume growth, better product mix and operational efficiencies.
Q1 FY27 continued the growth trend: revenue from operations rose 19.2% YoY to ₹369.5 crore and operating profit increased 24.8% to ₹48 crore, while PAT grew 14.8% to ₹36.8 crore. However, sequentially profit declined from Q4 FY26, highlighting some quarterly volatility. The company is also expanding its technology and global capabilities, including a new US Centre of Excellence and product-development facility and a planned acquisition/JV activity around MTR.
Overall, NRB Bearings has demonstrated improving revenue, margins and profitability, with technology-led product development providing a potential long-term growth avenue; sustaining these improvements while maintaining healthy returns on capital will be important to the investment thesis.#StockInNews#EquityResearch#HiddenGems#Post-ClosingCommentary#FundamentalViews
