Sportking India is an integrated textile manufacturer specialising in cotton, polyester, blended and dyed yarns for domestic and international weaving and knitting industries. Established in 1989, the company operates three manufacturing facilities and focuses on cost-efficient production and a diversified yarn portfolio. Its growth strategy includes capacity expansion in Odisha, investment in renewable energy to reduce power costs and improving manufacturing efficiency. The company’s performance is closely linked to cotton prices, yarn realisations, export demand and the broader textile cycle. In FY26, revenue from operations was approximately ₹2,496 crore, while net profit stood at ₹119.7 crore. Q1 FY27 showed a strong improvement, with revenue rising 20.1% year-on-year to ₹703.7 crore and profit after tax increasing approximately 123% to ₹76 crore. Profit before tax more than doubled to ₹102.2 crore, supported by improved operating performance and lower finance costs. The company has also commissioned a solar power project intended to reduce annual power costs by approximately 12–13%, potentially supporting future margins.
