TCIEXP
TCI Express is a specialised express logistics company focused on time-sensitive movement of cargo across India, offering surface express, air express, e-commerce logistics, reverse logistics and other supply-chain solutions. Its asset-light model, large distribution network and focus on B2B customers provide scalability as organised logistics penetration increases. The company is also investing in automation, technology and network expansion to improve shipment handling and service efficiency.
FY26 consolidated total income stood at ₹1,252.7 crore with PAT of ₹81.4 crore. Growth has remained moderate, but Q1 FY27 showed improvement: revenue increased 9.3% YoY to ₹313.4 crore, EBITDA rose about 12% to ₹31.4 crore and PAT increased 5.2% to ₹20.5 crore. Operating margin improved to 11.31% from 11.11% in Q1 FY26, while sequentially PAT recovered 27.8% from ₹16 crore in Q4 FY26. However, the longer-term picture is less aggressive, with roughly 9% TTM revenue growth and a negative 3-year profit CAGR.
Growth can come from increasing express-logistics penetration, manufacturing and e-commerce volumes, network expansion and higher shipment density, while automation could support margins. The balance sheet remains relatively conservative, with debt-to-equity around 0.08x. Market capitalisation was about ₹2,058 crore, P/E 24.95x, ROE 9.95% and P/B 2.51x.
Key risks include slower industrial activity, intense competition, fuel and manpower costs, relatively modest return ratios and the possibility that revenue growth remains subdued. The key factor to monitor is whether improving volumes and operating efficiency can produce stronger earnings growth without requiring a substantial increase in capital intensity.#HiddenGems#FundamentalViews#StockInNews#EquityResearch#WatchOutFor
