BHARTI AIRTE A LARGE-CAP STOCK TO WATCH AFTER THE CORRECTION
Bharti Airtel Limited closed at ₹1,800.80 on September 24, declining 1.77% as the broader Nifty 50 fell 1.64% to 23,063.10. The stock therefore remained relatively close to the benchmark despite the sharp market-wide sell-off.
The bigger question now is whether Airtel can stabilise while the broader market remains volatile.
The recent market correction has been driven by a combination of elevated crude oil prices, higher US bond yields and continued foreign selling. FIIs sold ₹5,027.36 crore of Indian equities on September 24, while domestic institutions bought ₹4,301.18 crore.
For Airtel, the fundamental variables remain different from the immediate macro pressure. Average revenue per user, subscriber additions, 5G monetisation, enterprise business growth and free-cash-flow generation remain important metrics to track.
Technical setup:
₹1,800 is now an important psychological reference after Thursday's close near this level.
If the stock manages to reclaim ₹1,820–₹1,830 with improving volume, it could indicate that buyers are attempting to stabilise the recent correction.
The broader Nifty setup is also important. Market commentary currently places 23,200–23,300 as an immediate resistance zone, while 23,000 remains a key level on the downside.
• ₹1,800 psychological level
• ₹1,820–₹1,830 recovery zone
• ARPU growth
• 5G monetisation
• Subscriber trends
• Free cash flow
• Relative performance versus Nifty 50
View:Airtel's next few sessions could be important for determining whether the recent decline is simply part of the broader market correction or develops into a deeper stock-specific weakness.
Disclosure:I have no holding or financial interest in Bharti Airtel Limited at the time of writing.
