$BHARTIARTL Stock In Focus: Bharti Airtel
$BHARTIARTL Last Friday's session saw IT stocks dominate the damage column. But here's what barely made the headlines — Airtel was one of the stocks that helped limit the broader market's losses, ending in the green even as Nifty bled 155 points to close at 24,013. That kind of resilience deserves a closer look. The numbers: Airtel's FY26 revenue stood at Rs 2,10,973 crore, up 22% year on year. Q4 FY26 revenue was Rs 55,383 crore and PBDT grew 22% YoY to Rs 26,849 crore. PAT appears lower on paper, but that is a base effect — FY25 included large one-time deferred tax credits that inflated last year's figure. Strip those out and the core operating business is in strong shape. The 52-week range tells its own story: high of Rs 2,174.50, low of Rs 1,740.50. The stock still trades below its highs, while analyst consensus targets sit in the Rs 1,800–2,100 band with a strong buy majority across 25+ analysts. With GIFT Nifty signalling a firm opening of +104 points this Monday and banking stocks looking constructive, a stable broad market could give Airtel room to continue its recovery.
