Angel One Shares Drop Over 7% on Weak June Metrics

ANGELONE
declined over 7.3% in morning trade, hitting an intraday low of ₹2,734.40 on the NSE. The fall followed the company's exchange filing that showed a 41.5% YoY drop in gross client acquisition to 5.5 lakh in June, though it rose 9.3% MoM. The brokerage’s total client base grew to 3.25 crore, up 31.3% YoY. However, average daily orders fell to 5.47 million from 8.84 million last year, while total orders declined 31.6% to 114.95 million. Notional average daily turnover dropped 23.5% YoY to ₹35 lakh crore. F&O turnover was also down 24.6% to ₹34.02 lakh crore. Despite these declines, the average client funding book rose 55% YoY to ₹4,708 crore, indicating increased leverage activity.
