Auto index surged over 3% in morning trade
Shares of TATAMOTORS , MOTHERSON , SONACOMS , and BHARATFORG rallied up to 10% after former U.S. President Donald Trump hinted at possible exemptions on imported auto parts and vehicles. In his statement, Trump mentioned he’s "looking to help some of the car companies" that are shifting production back to the U.S. from countries like Mexico and Canada. The market interpreted this as a positive for Indian auto and ancillary exporters, sparking strong buying interest.
