DRREDDY Climbs on Acquisition Buzz, Early Gains Fade
Shares of
DRREDDY
moved higher in morning trade, rising over 1% to hit their highest level since 30 October 2025. The uptick followed news that the pharma major has entered into a definitive agreement with UK-based Mercury Pharma Group (MPGL) to acquire the trademarks Progynova and Cyclo-Progynova, along with related India assets, for $32.15 million.
Despite the positive start, momentum cooled as the session progressed. By 11:45 AM, the stock had pared most of its early gains and was trading with a modest rise of around 0.3%, indicating some profit-booking after the initial reaction to the announcement.
