Head in the Sand: Ostrich Investors and the Danger of Ignoring Losses

In the Indian market, an 'ostrich' investor ignores negative news and refuses to react even when trouble appears. Instead of accepting mistakes or changing losing investments, they hide their head like an ostrich, hoping the problems will disappear. For example, during a market decline, ostriches may avoid checking their portfolio or refuse to sell poor-performing shares. This can cause bigger losses later. In India’s uncertain markets, denial does not help. It is better to facereality, review investments regularly, make changes if needed, and learn from mistakes. Ignoring issues might provide temporary comfort but leads to long-term pain. Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only and is not investment advice.
