IT Stocks Tank Sharply as Uncertainty Over Trump's Tariffs Sours Sentiment
Indian IT stocks faced sharp declines as concerns over potential tariffs imposed by the U.S. President Trump's administration weighed on market sentiment. Today marks the fourth consecutive losing streak for Nifty IT, which dropped as much as 2.17% in intra-day. INFY led the losses, plunging as much as 3.79% in morning trade, while WIPRO breached its recent low, trading below its 200-day SMA. Tech Mahindra ( TECHM ) and Tata Consultancy Services ( TCS ) also saw declines. The uncertainty surrounding U.S. trade policies has dampened investor confidence, driving down the sector's performance across the board.
