Markets Extend Losing Streak as Volatility Dominates the Session

As on 9 Dec 2025, broader Indian equity indices extended losses for the second consecutive session, slipping to their lowest levels since 12 Nov 2025. After a weak start, markets witnessed a recovery in the second half, with indices breaking the morning’s day high. However, the bounce lacked sustainability, and the underlying closed with a loss of around 120 points, marking the weakest closing since 12 Nov 2025. On the stock-specific front, ASIAN PAINTS emerged as the top laggard within the Nifty-50, ending the session with a decline of over 4.5%.

HEROMOTOCO
also remained under pressure, closing lower by 2.69%. In contrast, after five consecutive negative sessions,
ETERNAL
(formerly Zomato) stood out as the top gainer, rising by 2.2% during the day. 📌 Disclaimer: This content is for information only and not investment advice.
