Mixed Performance in February Auto Sales
February 2025 auto sales figures show a mixed performance across key players in the industry. reported 83,702 units sold, marking a 15% YoY increase, surpassing the estimate of 79,400. Its tractor sales also rose by 18% YoY, with 25,527 units sold, outperforming the estimate of 23,800. saw a decline of 8% YoY, selling 79,344 units, slightly above the estimate of 78,200. posted a 1% YoY increase with 199,400 units, but fell short of the estimate of 203,200. Hyundai saw a 3% YoY decline with 58,727 units, missing the estimate of 60,400, while its domestic sales dipped 5%. Eicher CV also lagged expectations, selling 8,092 units (+9% YoY), below the estimated 8,550 units.
M&M emerged as a dual winner with solid performance in both the auto and tractor segments.
