The stock remained under pressure following SBI Life’s August Monthly Business Update. The company reported a 2.8% year-on-year increase in New Business Premium (NBP) to ₹3,415 crore, while its year-to-date premium grew 12.73% to ₹16,220 crore. On the other hand, Bharat Electronics Ltd. (NSE: BEL) was the top gainer in the Nifty 50, closing 1.62% higher. On the sectoral front, Nifty Private Bank (-0.99%) and Nifty Financial Services (-0.77%) were among the worst-performing indices.
