Airtel reports 89% Q2 profit jump driven by data growth

reported Q2 earnings, with a 89% year-on-year jump in net profit to ₹6,792 crore and 25.7% revenue growth to ₹52,145 crore. Airtel's mobile services business led the growth, driven by mobile data consumption and a 7.1% revenue increase in Africa. Arpu rose 2.4% to ₹256, exceeding Jio's ₹211.4, with 4.1 million net additions. Shares ended 1.1% higher at ₹2,077.
