CONCOR awards ₹89.09 Cr. contract to Eastern Railway

has officially placed a domestic capital expenditure contract worth ₹89.09 crore (including GST) with Eastern Railway's Jamalpur Locomotive Workshop. Under this agreement, Eastern Railway will manufacture and supply 12 rakes of Bogie Low container Spine car wagons alongside Brake Van Type BVCM to CONCOR. By dedicating ₹89.09 crore to procure 12 BLSS wagon rakes, CONCOR is aggressively scaling its freight capacity. This strategic asset purchase is timed to capitalize on the newly commissioned Western Dedicated Freight Corridor connectivity to JNPA. The acquisition of advanced BLSS rakes will enable the carrier to expand double-stack freight movements, optimize turnaround times, and strengthen its competitive moat against road transport.
