KPIT Technologies Q2 FY27 net profit falls to ₹120 crore

KPIT Technologies Limited (NSE: KPITTECH)

KPITTECH
reported Q2 FY27 consolidated net profit of ₹120 crore, below the ₹140 crore the market expected. Profit fell ₹50 crore from ₹170 crore in Q1 FY27. What happened: The miss against expectations is ₹20 crore, about 14%. The quarter-on-quarter drop is about 29%. Constant currency revenue grew just 0.2% YoY, so the top line is close to flat. On 28 October 2026, the company also told exchanges that Board Chairman Anant Talaulicar joins the board of KPIT US, its material unlisted subsidiary. It approved a wholly owned subsidiary in Vietnam for engineering talent and R&D as well. Why it matters: Profit is falling while revenue is not growing. That means the renewed strategy is not yet showing up in the numbers. Auto OEMs are cautious on discretionary software spending, and project conversion in Europe and North America is taking longer. My view: A profit miss on a flat top line points to margin pressure. The data I have does not split the fall between realignment costs and weaker demand, so the cause is unconfirmed. The board move and the Vietnam unit are about oversight and capacity. Neither adds to earnings in the next few quarters. I would not lean on them to offset a weak result. What I am watching: Deal pipeline commentary, how fast OEM spending converts into projects, and whether revenue growth moves above 0.2% YoY in Q3 FY27.
