$ICICIBANK Q1 Profit Jumps 16% to ₹14,805 Crore, Beats Estimates; Asset Quality Improves
$ICICIBANK Bank reported a strong June quarter performance, with standalone net profit rising 15.95% year-on-year to ₹14,804.5 crore, surpassing market expectations. Higher net interest income, improved margins, and better asset quality supported the lender's earnings. The private sector bank's net interest income (NII) grew 12.7% year-on-year to ₹24,384.35 crore, exceeding analysts' estimates of ₹23,689 crore. Net profit also came in above expectations of ₹13,616 crore. Net interest margin (NIM) improved to 4.36% during the quarter, compared with 4.32% in the March quarter and 4.34% in the corresponding quarter last year. On the asset quality front, the gross non-performing asset (GNPA) ratio declined to 1.38% as of June 30, 2026, from 1.40% at the end of March and 1.67% a year earlier. The net NPA ratio stood at 0.35%, reflecting continued improvement in the bank's loan book. $ICICIBANK shares ended Friday's session at ₹1,444.30, up 1.84% for the day.
