$NTPC Q1 Results Preview: Maharatna PSU Board to Take Up June Quarter Earnings, ₹12,000 Crore Fundraising Proposal on July 24
Synopsis: $NTPC 's Board will meet on July 24 to approve Q1 FY27 results and consider raising up to ₹12,000 crore through non-convertible debentures (NCDs). State-run $NTPC Ltd will hold its Board meeting on July 24, 2026, to approve its unaudited Q1 FY27 results for the quarter ended June 30. The Board will also consider a proposal to raise up to ₹12,000 crore through secured or unsecured, redeemable, taxable or tax-free, cumulative or non-cumulative non-convertible debentures (NCDs). The fundraising plan is subject to shareholders' approval at the upcoming AGM. FY26 Performance $NTPC reported a 34.4% YoY rise in consolidated net profit to ₹10,614.95 crore in Q4 FY26. For FY26, net profit increased 15% to ₹27,546 crore, while its coal-based plants recorded a 72.04% Plant Load Factor (PLF), higher than the national average of 63.20%. Expansion Update $NTPC Green Energy commissioned the first 50.4 MW phase of the Vanki Wind Energy Project in Gujarat, taking the Group's installed capacity to 90,954 MW. The Board has also approved the 2x800 MW Lara Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III with an investment of ₹20,456.70 crore. Stock Performance $NTPC shares settled at ₹341.85, down 0.18% on Friday.
