Adani Enterprises surged 8.89 percent to close at Rs 2,720 on the NSE, making it the top gainer on the Nifty50 index. The stock has risen more than 12 percent over the past two trading sessions. The rally pushed the company’s market capitalisation to Rs 3.51 lakh crore. According to CNBC-TV18, citing exchange data, around 58.92 lakh shares worth Rs 1,435 crore changed hands in a block deal at Rs 2,435.6 per share. The identities of the buyers and sellers have not been disclosed yet. As of the March quarter, promoters held a 74.67 percent stake in the company, while public shareholders owned the remaining 25.33 percent. Among public investors, domestic mutual funds held 2.7 percent, while Life Insurance Corporation of India owned 3.64 percent. Retail investors with authorised share capital of up to Rs 2 lakh accounted for a 3.07 percent stake in the company. During the trading session, a total of 95.39 lakh shares were traded on the NSE, generating a turnover of Rs 2,524.28 crore. Other Adani Group stocks also ended the day in positive territory. Adani Power gained 5.2 percent, while Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone, Adani Total Gas and Adani Energy Solutions rose between 0.4 percent and 3.2 percent.
