Dixon Technologies climbed more than 2 percent on Thursday after the company unveiled plans to expand into the rapidly growing data centre hardware market through a strategic partnership with a leading Taiwanese technology firm. The company also announced the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Chennai. Founder and Chairman Sunil Vachani said Dixon has partnered with a globally recognized Taiwanese player specializing in IT hardware and data centre solutions. Through this collaboration, the company aims to tap into the expanding IT hardware segment by manufacturing laptops and desktop computers in India. The upcoming Chennai facility, which is expected to become operational within the next eight to ten months, will support these manufacturing ambitions. The move comes amid rising global demand for IT and data centre equipment, driven by increasing investments in artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and digital infrastructure.
