JINDALSTEL
Jindal Steel is focusing on scaling up production after expanding its steelmaking capacity to around 15.6 million tonnes. The company is targeting FY27 steel sales of 10.5–11 million tonnes as new capacity ramps up.
The company expects production to improve from September as operational disruptions ease. It is also focusing on increasing the share of value-added steel products, which could support realizations and improve profitability.
Jindal Steel reported Q1 FY27 revenue of ₹15,482 crore, up 25.9% YoY, while operating profit stood at ₹2,660 crore. The sequential improvement in operating profit reflects stronger operating performance despite pressure on margins.
With higher capacity utilization, rising production and greater focus on value-added products, Jindal Steel has improving growth visibility. Investors, however, will closely monitor steel prices, coking coal costs and the pace of capacity ramp-up.#StockInNews
