Jio Financial Services Ltd shares jumped 3.85% to Rs 244.73 on Friday after the company reported a robust set of earnings for the June quarter, led by strong growth in lending and fee-based businesses. The company posted a 156% year-on-year rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 830 crore for Q1FY27, compared with Rs 325 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. On a sequential basis, net profit surged 205% from Rs 272 crore reported in Q4FY26. Consolidated revenue from operations climbed 227% year-on-year to Rs 2,004 crore from Rs 612 crore a year earlier. Total income rose 141% to Rs 1,496 crore, supported by a 165% increase in interest income to Rs 962 crore. Fee and commission income increased fivefold to Rs 325 crore, while the company also recorded dividend income of Rs 509 crore during the quarter. Commenting on the performance, the company said the sustained momentum across its business verticals reflects the strength of its full-stack financial services ecosystem and disciplined execution. It added that the strategic use of artificial intelligence and data analytics has helped improve operational efficiencies across the value chain. Jio Financial Services also highlighted continued growth in its customised lending business, broader access to investment products through its asset management arm, and an operational turnaround in its payments business, driven by revenue diversification and a strong focus on unit economics.
