$RELIANCE
Reliance Industries shares gained more than 2 percent in early trading on Wednesday after the company announced a strategic partnership with Meta to establish the social media giant’s first AI-enabled data centre in India. As part of the agreement, Reliance will develop a 168-megawatt data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, which Meta will lease to support its artificial intelligence and high-performance computing operations. Reliance will oversee the project end-to-end, providing services ranging from design and construction to utility management, renewable energy supply, network connectivity, and managed operations. The collaboration further strengthens the long-standing relationship between the two companies. Reliance and Meta had previously partnered to develop AI-driven solutions for businesses in India and select global markets. In 2020, Meta also acquired a 9.99 percent stake in Jio Platforms through a $5.7 billion investment. Commenting on the development, Reliance Industries Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani said the project would transform Jamnagar into a key hub for hyperscale AI computing while significantly enhancing India’s digital infrastructure and technological capabilities.
