Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd reported a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, with net profit rising 33.8% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 5,629 crore from Rs 4,207 crore in the March quarter. Revenue for the quarter increased 11.9% sequentially to Rs 21,393 crore, compared with Rs 19,124 crore in the preceding quarter, supported by improved operating performance. The company's EBITDA climbed 23.3% quarter-on-quarter to Rs 10,299 crore, up from Rs 8,352 crore in Q4FY26. Operating profitability also improved, with the EBITDA margin expanding to 48.14% from 43.68% in the previous quarter. The June-quarter results reflected broad-based sequential growth across key financial metrics, with higher revenue, stronger earnings, and improved margins underscoring the company's operational momentum. Shares of Vedanta Aluminium Metal Ltd were trading at Rs 439.75 in afternoon trade on July 30, up 0.03% for the day after recovering from the session's intraday lows.
