Fractal Analytics Q2 Profit Soars 139% as Revenue Rises

FRACTAL
delivered a strong Q2 FY27 performance, achieving a significant milestone as its quarterly revenue crossed the $100 million mark for the first time. The company reported consolidated operating revenue of ₹956.5 crore, registering 20% year-on-year growth, while net income surged 139% to ₹79.2 crore compared with ₹33.2 crore in Q2 FY26. Profitability also improved meaningfully. Adjusted EBITDA margin expanded by 123 basis points year-on-year to approximately 16%, with adjusted EBITDA growing 30%. This indicates improving operating leverage, as earnings growth outpaced revenue expansion. Growth was broad-based across key industry verticals. Healthcare & Life Sciences recorded an impressive 79% growth, while Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI) grew 30%. Consumer Packaged Goods and Retail, the company’s largest vertical, delivered 11% growth. The Energy, Travel and Industrial segment also showed strong momentum. Fractal’s AI-led product portfolio is gaining traction. Its Cogentiq platform and products achieved an annual revenue run-rate exceeding ₹150 crore, up 39% year-on-year. Client engagement remained healthy, reflected in a Net Revenue Retention (NRR) of 115% and a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 76. However, investors should also monitor gross margin pressure, investments in AI talent and engineering capabilities, and the pace at which product-led revenue scales. Sustaining growth while converting AI demand into consistent profitability will remain important. Learning Takeaway: For AI and technology companies, investors should assess more than topline growth. Revenue quality, client retention, EBITDA margin expansion, sector-wise growth and the scalability of AI products are critical indicators of sustainable business performance.
