Punjab National Bank (PNB) reported a strong set of numbers for Q4FY25 and FY25, marked by robust profit growth, improved asset quality, and steady expansion in business volumes.
Q4FY25 Highlights:
Net profit rose 51.7% YoY to Rs 4,567 crore.
RoA improved to 1.02% (up 25 bps YoY), and RoE rose to 19.23% (up 275 bps YoY).
Net Interest Income (NII) for the quarter was Rs 10,757 crore, up from Rs 10,363 crore in Q4FY24.
GNPA reduced sharply to 3.95%, down 178 bps YoY, and NNPA came down to 0.40%, down 33 bps.
Provision Coverage Ratio (incl. write-offs) improved to 96.82%, and credit cost dropped to 0.21%, down 60 bps YoY.
FY25 Highlights:
Net profit doubled to Rs 16,630 crore, up 101.7% YoY.
RoA improved 43 bps YoY to 0.97%, while RoE increased by 767 bps to 19.33%.
NII grew 6.7% YoY to Rs 42,782 crore.
Global business reached Rs 26.8 lakh crore, up 14% YoY, led by 14.4% growth in deposits and 13.6% rise in advances.
RAM (Retail, Agriculture, MSME) advances grew 15.9% YoY to Rs 6.03 lakh crore.
