Aequs Jumps around 6% on Capex News, Tests Range High

AEQUS
closed at 260.10, up 5.71%, after the precision engineering and contract manufacturing company outlined a Rs 660 crore capex budget for FY27, aimed at expanding its aerospace and consumer businesses. As per a Moneycontrol report, the company's board has separately approved a Rs 650 crore equity infusion through warrants issued to the promoter group, with 50% payable upfront on allotment, and another fundraise is anticipated in FY28 to sustain the growth push. On the chart, this move has taken price right up to the descending trendline resistance near 270-274 that has capped rallies since July, after the stock found support multiple times near the 215 zone over the past few months. RSI at 68.04, above the signal line at 45.05, reflects the strength of today's move, with volume also picking up sharply on the breakout attempt. Resistance: 270-274 (descending trendline), then 280 (prior swing high). Support: 246-252 (near-term), then 215 (range low). Whether today's capex-driven move is enough to close above the trendline on a sustained basis, or whether the stock fades back into the recent range, is what needs to be watched over the coming sessions. A strong fundamental trigger testing a well-defined trendline resistance is a useful setup to track — the follow-through, not the news itself, confirms the technical outcome.
