Adani Green Energy Expands Footprint with New Gujarat Solar Project

ADANIGREEN
n Energy Ltd. (AGEL) continues its rapid expansion in the renewable energy sector, announcing the commencement of a 37.5 MW solar power project in Khavda, Gujarat. This new addition pushes the company's total operational renewable energy capacity to 13,737.8 MW, solidifying its position as a leading player in India's green energy transition.   This development follows closely on the heels of AGEL securing a 400 MW solar power project in Rajasthan, awarded through its subsidiary, Adani Renewable Energy Holding Twelve Ltd. The Rajasthan project, contracted with Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL), will supply power for 25 years at a competitive tariff of ₹2.57 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). AGEL's strong performance is further underscored by its recent financial results. The company reported an 85% surge in consolidated net profit for the December quarter, reaching ₹474 crore compared to ₹256 crore in the previous year. This substantial growth was primarily driven by increased power supply revenue, which rose from ₹1,765 crore to ₹1,993 crore during the same period. These project wins and strong financials reflect the company's aggressive growth strategy and its contribution to India's renewable energy goals.
