rts and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) jumped over 6% in early trade on Friday, becoming the top gainer on both the Sensex and Nifty indices. The rally followed the company’s robust Q4FY25 earnings, which showed a 50% year-on-year surge in net profit, driven by strong growth in port volumes and the logistics business. APSEZ reported a net profit of ₹3,025 crore for the quarter ended March 2025, up from ₹2,015 crore a year earlier. The company also provided a bullish outlook for FY26, forecasting higher revenue growth on the back of increased cargo volumes and expanding market share. In intraday trade, the stock touched a high of ₹1,295 on NSE, before easing slightly to ₹1,273.60, still up 4.69% from the previous close. Domestic brokerage Motilal Oswal maintained a ‘Buy’ rating, setting a target price of ₹1,550, indicating an upside of 27% from Wednesday’s close. The firm noted that APSEZ is expected to grow at 1.5–2x India’s overall cargo volume growth, supported by strategic capacity additions and a rising share in the logistics segment. The logistics arm’s role in boosting last-mile connectivity is also expected to strengthen APSEZ’s value proposition in the port infrastructure space. The strong quarterly performance and optimistic growth outlook are reinforcing investor confidence in APSEZ as a core infrastructure play.
