Ashoka Buildcon Secures ₹569 Crore Railway Project Bid

ASHOKA
Buildcon Ltd. has been named the lowest bidder for a significant railway gauge conversion project, valued at ₹568.86 crore, excluding GST. The project, awarded by Central Railway, involves substantial civil engineering work across a 53.3-kilometer stretch between Pachora and Jamner. The scope of the project encompasses crucial infrastructure development, including earthwork, the construction of major and minor bridges, Railway Under Bridges (RUBs), and P-Way work. Ashoka Buildcon will also undertake other essential civil works, excluding the Pachora Yard and road over bridges. The project is slated for completion within a 30-month timeframe. This win marks a notable achievement for Ashoka Buildcon, representing its second major order acquisition in just over a month. In early March, the company announced it had received a Letter of Acceptance from Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Co Ltd (MSETCL) for a turnkey substation and transmission line project, valued at ₹311.92 crore, including GST. Despite securing these substantial projects, it is noteworthy that Ashoka Buildcon's share price has experienced a decline of over 27 percent in the past six months. The recent project win, however, highlights the company's continued ability to secure significant infrastructure contracts, reinforcing its position within the construction engineering sector.
