Ather Energy Sees ₹542 Crore Block Deal; NIIF II Likely Seller as Stock Gains 4%

In a major secondary market transaction, Ather Energy Ltd witnessed a large block deal worth ₹542 crore on Thursday, signaling continued investor churn in the fast-growing electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer. Block Deal Details According to stock exchange data, about 87 lakh shares, representing nearly 2.3% of Ather Energy’s total equity, changed hands at an average price of ₹622.35 per share. The total deal value stood at approximately ₹542 crore. Following the trade, Ather Energy’s stock rose 4.03% in early trade to ₹653.85 per share, compared to the previous close of ₹628.55. The stock has already doubled in the past one year, reflecting strong investor confidence amid growing EV adoption and improving financial performance. NIIF II Likely Seller Reports from CNBC-TV18 suggest that the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund II (NIIF II) was the likely seller in this block transaction. The fund was expected to offload up to 2.34% stake, valued at around ₹551 crore, at a floor price of ₹620 per share. As of September 2025, NIIF II held 4.67% in Ather Energy, with an estimated value of ₹1,118 crore prior to this sale.
