Bandhan Bank Q1 Results Beat Estimates, But Stock Crashes 15% on Guidance Cut

BANDHANBNK
nk reported a decent Q1FY27, with net profit at ₹500 crore beating street estimates, driven by strong NII, fee income, and improved asset quality. Loan growth stood at 16% YoY, while NIM held steady at 6.2%. Credit costs moderated, and gross slippages remained manageable. However, the stock plunged nearly 15% to around ₹177 intraday after management sharply cut its FY27 exit RoA guidance to 1.2-1.4% from 1.6-1.8%. The revision cites tighter liquidity, elevated funding costs, moderated NIM outlook, and rising technology-related expenses. Loan growth guidance was also trimmed to the lower end of 14-15%.
