e Star Ltd plunged over 6% to ₹1,642 on the NSE in early trade Friday, as investors punished the stock after unseasonal rains played spoilsport for the second straight quarter.
The air-conditioning major reported a modest 3% YoY rise in Q2 FY26 net profit to ₹99 crore, while revenue grew 6.4% to ₹2,422 crore. Management flagged continued weakness in room AC demand due to “prolonged rains and lower temperatures” that hurt secondary sales and delayed channel filling.
In a post-earnings call, the company said the drag is likely to persist into Q3 before festive and wedding season demand kicks in from January.
Meanwhile, Godrej Properties slipped nearly 5% to ₹2,186.60 despite posting a sharp jump in consolidated net profit to ₹491 crore (up 335% YoY). Revenue, however, dropped 28% YoY to ₹659 crore, missing street estimates, as project handovers got deferred.
Bookings value surged 89% YoY to ₹5,300 crore, but investors focused on the revenue miss and near-term execution delays.
