Cochin Shipyard: Order Book and Export Opportunities Drive Confidence

COCHINSHIP
yard Ltd. reported robust revenue growth of 38.5% year-on-year in Q1FY26, reaching ₹1,068.59 crore, fueled by a strong ship-repair business contributing 64% of revenue, up from 34% last year. The company’s order book stood at ₹21,100 crore as of June 2025, down 6% from ₹22,500 crore, with 65% from defense, 20% from commercial exports, and 7% from ship repairs. Recent export orders, including two commissioning service operation vessels for a European client and a master shipyard repair agreement with the US Navy, bolster growth prospects. Management targets 14-15% topline growth for FY26 and aims to double revenue by 2030-31, despite expected moderation in ship-repair margins.
