Colgate-Palmolive India shares drop over 3% as brokerages flag growth-margin trade-off
COLPAL
Shares of Colgate-Palmolive India fell more than 3% on Tuesday after the company’s post-Q1 FY27 analyst call, with the stock trading around ₹1,904 in morning deals and ranking among the top midcap losers. The decline came as several brokerages turned cautious on near-term earnings, highlighting the impact of higher brand and marketing investments on margins.
In the June quarter, the company reported revenue growth of 11.8% to ₹1,603 crore and a 7% rise in net profit to ₹343 crore. However, EBITDA margin contracted to 30.1% from 31.6% a year earlier, reflecting elevated advertising spends aimed at driving premiumisation and volume growth.
